Woven Mizrach

webmiz-wovenThis picture is meant to be a “mizrach” – a marker for the Eastern wall of a house, denoting the direction of Jerusalem.  This bears the verse from Psalms “From the rising of the sun until its setting, I will praise the name of the Lord.”, which is a traditional text for a mizrach.  the design is made from strips of quilling paper woven together, with a 23k gold sun and accents. 8 x 10
