I made this just to see if I could find flowers starting with each letter of the alphabet, and translate them into quilling. I had it displayed in the co-op gallery I belonged to in Minnesota, and by an amazing coincidence, it was bought by an old customer from Baltimore, who was visiting and recognized my work. It is about 20 x 20.

Woven Mizrach
This picture is meant to be a “mizrach” – a marker for the Eastern wall of a house, denoting the direction of Jerusalem. This bears the verse from Psalms “From the rising of the sun until its setting, I will praise the name of the Lord.”, which is a traditional text for a mizrach. the design is made from strips of quilling paper woven together, with a 23k gold sun and accents. 8 x 10
