Description
A hamsa is a good luck charm, used to keep away evil spirits. It is common to many cultures. This hamsa is made entirely with 1/8″ quilling paper, some of which is edged with 23K gold. The detail above shows a side view. I then added an elaborately cut mat that I covered in a cork paper scattered with gold (not real gold). The whole was framed with an oversize frame in a deep walnut look. The image is 5 x 7, but with the frame it’s about 9 x 11.
