This mirror was created using silver leaf behind glass, which was then distressed to make it look antique. The “frame” around the mirror was made entirely from paper, covered with 23k gold leaf. The whole piece is about 4″ x 6″. It is set into a black wood shadow-box frame lined with black velvet. To my delight, this piece was purchased by a fellow gilder – a great compliment.
