This menorah picture was created in several stages. First, acid-free paper was embossed with a menorah form. The menorah itself was sized and gilded with 23k gold leaf. The candles were covered with aluminum leaf, and the flames are made with copper leaf. It is 5 x7, framed.

Entry Marker
This gilding was commissioned by a neighborhood in Jamestown, RI. The engraved letters were not visible from the road, so they asked me to gild it. I used 23k gold on oil size. The job was made very difficult by the fact that there was a strong ocean breeze the entire time I was working! However, everyone was pleased with the final result.
The logo for Seasons Hospice was sandblasted in redwood (by Brendon Brandon), and then the raised area was covered with 23k gold.
A basswood box was painted red, and then compo was applied and gilt with 23k gold. It was wiped with a dark varnish.
This gingko leaf of hand carved cherry (by Nick Poleschuk) was gilt with 23k gold, painted with shellac, and then tinted with gouache .
