Florentine Chai
The word “Chai” means “Life”, and it also has the numerical value of eighteen. For this reason, multiples of eighteen are considered fortunate, be it years, dollars, or whatever. The Hebrew letters are quilled and edged with 23k gold, and ornamented with a Florentine design in quilling. The inner mat is hand-covered with Florentine paper, and the outer mat is light blue. 5” x 7”
